MISSION AND VALUES
OUR VALUES
"And we urge you, brothers and sisters, warn those who are idleand disruptive, encourage the disheartened, help the weak, be patient with everyone.Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always strive to do what is good for each other and for everyone else."
– 1 Thessalonians 5:14-15
"You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God. This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of the Lord’s people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God. Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves, others will praise God for the obedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone else."
– 2 Corinthians 9:11-13
"Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms."
– 1 Peter 4:10
"Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you."
– Philippians 4:9
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
– Matthew 11:28-30

MEMBER EXPECTATIONS
Through sacrificial giving we believe God will be honored, the church will be united, and lives will be changed forever.
By attending church gatherings we believe that worshipping Jesus together is powerful and encouraging, community is messy and amazing, and the fact that God would use us is pretty awesome. Worship services are Sunday mornings at 9:30a + 11:00a.
In our prayer lives we will recognize God as our Father and that He is holy, trust that God will accomplish His purpose and not our plans, have the confidence that God will provide for today and trust Him for tomorrow, and we will repent of the things we have done wrong and let go of the wrong things done to us.
As we serve others we believe that it allows us to experience purpose and fulfillment, surrounds us with other Christians who can help us follow Jesus, increases our faith, and allows us to experience God’s presence in new ways.
We offer a Lakeside 101 several times during the year. If you are interested in learning more about Lakeside Church at Lake Oconee, and want to consider joining as a member, please let us know! We’ll make sure you get registered for the next Lakeside 101. Interested? Let us know: jayreber@lakesidechurch.ws
